We want to congratulate Gilbert for being Money Magazines #22 Best Places to Live! We chose to live in Gilbert and believe the Town Council are doing a wonderful job of managing the city and providing positive leadership for its residents.
However, out Gilbert Public School Board is not viewed so positively even on a national scale. We hit Money Magazine with this “On the downside…” comment:
The downside, Gilbert’s public schools have had a rough go lately. The school board cut more than 80 positions during a budget crunch this year, and three administrators resigned. However, locals are hoping to see a turnaround with new superintendent Christina Kishimoto.
Yes folks, you read that right. The best show in town has made the national spotlight. And yes, not in a good way.
We hope Gilbert residents have had enough and make the right choices in voting for the 2 available seats for the Gilbert Public Schools Governing Board.
